Peace and Picnics

At Springfield Mills, we have created a calm and tranquil area for tenants and visitors to enjoy some peace and quiet. The area features attractive planters, trellis fencing and new picnic benches. 'We wanted to create an enhanced outside space for our tenants here on site to be able to take time out from their busy day to de-stress, take a break, enjoy lunch, or have an outdoor meeting. As we all know, even in the Autumn and Winter months, it is still good for the mind and soul to take a moment and get some fresh air. We're also keen to make sure everything we do has a sustainable approach to the environment, hence the reason we chose maintenance free, recycled plastic benches too”, says Paul Curson, MD. The area also has a Little Library with free books for anyone to enjoy and to encourage people to enjoy a digital detox for a short while. The library, created by the Gaunts maintenance team of Ian Goodall and Steve Allatt, was very kindly painted by Hannah Sowden from our tenant, The Marshmallowist.
