It's Farsley Festival time again – 25th May 2015

Sand, deck chairs, candy floss, seagulls and fish & chips…oh I do like to be beside the seaside – Do you?

Join us on the Farsley Promenade on Bank Holiday Monday, 25th May (1 – 5pm), where Farsley Town Street will be transformed into the beautiful Yorkshire Coast to celebrate the sea side past and present; where we also hope to be setting a new World Record!

Each year the festival has grown and grown making it one of the liveliest and well attended events in the region.

Farsley Festival will kick off with our record breaking attempt of gathering the highest number of people in one place wearing knotted hankies on their heads – so bring your hanky down and help get Farsley in the Guinness World Book of Records!

There will be the usual variety of high quality entertainment, live music, arts, street performances, crafts and activities. In addition to this there will be the Farmers Market, a Makers Market and wide range of street food.

This year will see seven stages of music some of which will see the return of soulful blues performer Tom Attah ,classical comedy act Sid Bowfin and the UK’s finest beatbox trio Bloxed Beatz, whose fans include Jamie Cullum and Example.

For the first time St John’s Church will be used as a performance space and the successful ‘Trouble at Mill’ will hosting a stage at Sunny Bank Mills, so if you don’t usually manage to get tickets to the oversubscribed event, now is your chance.

Children are at the heart of Farsley Festival ,we will be again setting up our highly popular children's zone including a classic Punch and Judy show, sand sculptures ,inflatables and other activities to keep the little ones occupied.

The shops on Town Street will be decorating their windows, schools and local organisations will be getting involved and visitors are invited to bring a photo of them on their holidays to add to the wall of sea-side memories.

There is something for everyone, we hope you can join us!
